Here’s a rewritten version of the passage:

On July 8, Puja Khedkar was transferred to Washim, reportedly due to her “arrogant behavior.” Pune Collector Suhas Diwase had written to Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre, expressing concerns about Khedkar’s “entitled behavior.”

In a letter dated July 11, three days after her transfer, Khedkar, a former IAS trainee whose candidature was recently canceled by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), attempted to clarify her position. She alleged that Diwase had “subjected her to insults” from the very first day of her training at the Pune District Collectorate.

Khedkar expressed distress over the impact of Diwase’s complaint and the subsequent media coverage, stating, “Because of this (letter and media coverage), my image has become that of an arrogant officer in the public eye. This is causing me mental trauma, and I am extremely disturbed,” she wrote in a three-page letter in Marathi.

She also addressed allegations regarding her unauthorized use of the additional collector’s ante-chamber. Khedkar explained that her father, Dilip Khedkar, had visited the Collectorate to deliver her lunch, and that Additional Collector Ajay More had voluntarily offered her the ante-chamber, instructing staff to set it up for her. However, when Diwase returned to the office and was informed of her seating arrangement, he reportedly ordered the furniture to be removed. Khedkar stated that despite her attempts to apologize and resolve the issue, Diwase remained unresponsive to her explanations.

The controversy deepened when Pune Police booked Dilip Khedkar on charges of putting undue pressure on a public servant, based on a complaint filed by a tehsildar at the Pune Collectorate.
