Perfora Revolutionizes Oral Care with a Shark Deal
In a market where oral hygiene is often overlooked, Tushar Khurana and Jatan Bawa’s startup, Perfora, is changing the game. Launched in 2020, Perfora offers a range of oral care products including toothpaste, electric toothbrushes, water flossers, and teeth whitening solutions, all crafted from 100% natural ingredients. With over 40,000 customers served, their mission is to redefine oral health in India.
The founders sought ₹80 lakhs for 1% equity at an ₹80 crore valuation. Sharks Peyush, Namita, and Vineeta were impressed and offered ₹80 lakhs for 2.5% equity at a ₹32 crore valuation. Perfora happily accepted this offer, aiming to become India’s answer to global oral care giants.
Midnight Angels by PC Declines Debt Offer
Midnight Angels by PC, founded by Parina and Punya Chugh in 2017, addresses the gap in plus-size nightwear and loungewear. With a focus on comfort and versatility, their products have reached over 25,000 customers and received positive feedback from more than 100 celebrities. Despite strong sales and a growing customer base, the founders chose to decline an offer of ₹75 lakhs for 6% equity with ₹50 lakhs in debt at 12% interest. They respectfully walked away, taking valuable insights from the Shark Tank experience.

CureSee Secures a Deal with Shark Peyush
CureSee, founded by Amit Sahni and Puneet and Jatin Kaushik, tackles vision problems like amblyopia, squint eyes, and convergence insufficiency using AI-based vision therapy. Their platform offers eye screening and therapeutic exercises, supported by the Indian Government. With a focus on B2B subscriptions and promising results, CureSee sought ₹40 lakhs for 5% equity at an ₹8 crore valuation. While Shark Namita offered the requested amount at the original valuation, Shark Peyush proposed ₹50 lakhs for 10% equity at a ₹5 crore valuation, envisioning a shift towards B2C. The founders opted for Peyush’s deal, aligning with his vision to expand their reach.
