Hexagon Capability Center India (HCCI), the largest product development unit of Hexagon AB, has officially launched the HexArt Institute, marking India’s inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) community center. The institute was inaugurated today by Shri Jayesh Ranjan, IT & EC Secretary, Government of Telangana, who dedicated the center to Hyderabad and the state of Telangana.

Established with an investment of INR 64 Lakhs, the HexArt Institute features cutting-edge infrastructure, IT hardware, and a well-crafted curriculum designed to benefit over 350 students annually. HCCI plans to invest an additional INR 30 Lakhs per year to sustain and grow the AI community center.

HexArt’s mission is to democratize AI knowledge by offering free educational opportunities. The center provides fundamental and advanced AI courses for students from Class 8 to senior engineering graduates. NASSCOM Foundation, the CSR partner, has leveraged its expertise to set up the learning center, while Li2 Technologies has been engaged to design and manage the courses.

Located in a 2,000 sq ft, air-conditioned facility in Mehdipatnam, the institute offers a robust learning environment for residents of Hyderabad and Telangana. The courses, developed by industry professionals, focus on fostering self-learning, innovation, and invention.

Honourable Minister of IT & Industries, Shri KT Rama Rao, emphasized Telangana’s vision to lead in AI and emerging technologies, noting that a skilled workforce is crucial for realizing the state’s 2020 AI vision. Shri Jayesh Ranjan highlighted AI’s significance in building talent for future technologies and praised Hexagon’s contribution to community growth.
