Hyderabad Student Startup ‘FindR’ Wins $1,500 as Runner-Up in TYE Global Finals

The Hyderabad-based student startup team, FindR, secured the second-place position in the TYE Global Finals hosted by TiE Seattle. Their impressive performance earned them a prize of $1,500.

Hyderabad’s FindR Shines as Runner-Up at TiE Young Entrepreneurs Global 2020

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Hyderabad team, FindR, clinched the runner-up position at the TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global 2020, held virtually by TiE Seattle. The team was awarded $1,500 and attracted significant investor interest.

In its 11th anniversary edition, the TYE Global event featured 32 teams from TiE chapters worldwide, competing in the global finals on July 17-18, 2020. The competition included various segments such as Maker’s Faire, Elevator Pitch, Business Model, Execution, Customer Validation, and Team Work. After a preliminary round, eight teams advanced to the finals, where they had 10 minutes to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges via video conference.

FindR, a LinkedIn-like platform for blue-collar jobs, won the Regional Business Plan Competition organized by TiE Hyderabad in January 2020. The startup, founded by N Hasvanth Reddy, G Srilasya, Samhitha T, Ishan Amit, and Mihir Boppana, impressed judges with its innovative approach to connecting users with services like maids, cleaners, and drivers.

Shubhendra Vikram, co-founder and CEO of FindR, expressed gratitude for the support from TiE mentors and the Hyderabad team. He emphasized their commitment to further developing their business idea and expanding their venture.

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, CMD of CtrlS and President of TiE Hyderabad, congratulated FindR, highlighting the role of TiE’s mentors in nurturing startups. He praised the team’s effort and expressed pride in their achievement.

The TYE Global event also recognized iDentistry, an AI-based dental diagnostic app from TiE Dallas, as the second runner-up, while BWI (Boxed Water Initiative) from TiE Atlanta won first place.
