With businesses increasingly relying on data to understand trends and customer behaviors, data management and predictive analytics have become crucial for growth. Analytics involves the structured statistical analysis of quantitative data to explore, identify, and determine relevant trends. Machine learning utilizes current and historical data to forecast future trends, with the global predictive analytics market expected to reach approximately $10.95 billion by 2022, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 21% from 2016 to 2022, according to a 2017 Zion Market Research report. While large corporations often find it easier to analyze data and predict customer behavior, small and medium-sized businesses face significant challenges.
Founded in 2016 by Krishna Chaitanya, Abhiram Kolli, and Balaji Kolli, Hyderabad-based Saras Analytics aims to democratize data access for small and medium enterprises, transforming data into a strategic asset. The startup offers both subscription-based and one-time service products tailored to business needs.
Saras Analytics’ flagship product, Daton, is an ETL platform that streamlines data replication from SaaS platforms such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Amazon, and Facebook Ads to cloud data warehouses like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, and Snowflake. Daton consolidates data quickly, allowing analysts to focus on generating insights rather than managing data pipelines. Another key offering, Halo, is a Business Intelligence and Analytics platform designed specifically for eCommerce. Halo automates the replication, transformation, preparation, and quality control of data, turning disparate eCommerce data into actionable insights and reports.

Saras Analytics supports businesses in navigating complex data silos to identify growth opportunities and become truly data-driven. Despite being bootstrapped, the founders have invested Rs. 3 crore to date, building a team of 110 and serving a diverse customer base, including brands like Mama Earth, Athletic Greens, Plum Goodness, Candere, Levi’s, Mensa, and Tumi across the US, India, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Balaji Kolli, Co-Founder of Saras Analytics, noted, “Many businesses have yet to fully embrace this technological shift, but we believe it’s only a matter of time before a new wave of customers adopts cloud data warehouses. We’re already seeing this trend with our customers, some of whom previously would not have considered data warehousing. Whether a company has a mature analytics team or is just starting, we offer solutions that fit any stage and budget.”
The startup reported a growth of over 6X in the past year, achieving an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of over $2 million for FY21. Saras Analytics aims to reach $4 million in revenue and expand its customer base to over 250 by the end of the year. “Our strength lies in our ability to support customers at any stage of their data-driven journey and within any budget,” added Kolli.
